Shabbat Parsha Quiz

We are continuing our new Parsha Quiz initiative this week. We have been getting some great feedback so please encourage your children to participate and take their completed answer sheets to Dan Lefel or Dalia Gross for a great prize!

Youth Program

A reminder that all Gan Chova – second grade children are welcome to our special tefilat yeladim. If your child is not within this age group please do not send them, it can be disruptive to the program.

On Shabbat morning there will be a Tefilat Yeladim at 10:00-10:20 in the shul's mirpeset for gan chova – 2nd Grade.

We opened a quiet WhatsApp group for posting activities for children and youth in our community. Kids, youth and parents are welcome to join the group

Chaburat Pirkei Avot
We're excited to announce that “Chaburat Pirkei Avot” will be restarting this Shabbat – giving chizuk to the special minhag of reading a perek of Pirkei Avot after Shabbat Mincha between Pesach and Rosh Hashanah

Each Shabbat after the 5.30 pm Mincha, please join us saying Pirkei Avot together with a short Dvar Torah on one of the week's mishnayot. Total time about 10 minutes

Yom Yerushalayim

Yom Yerushalyim program Sunday, May 25, 28 Iyar: Six Days in Historical Context with Rabbi Alan Haber. Erev Yom Yerushalyim immediately after Tefillah Chagiga, approximately at 8:40 p.m. Selesny Hall. The program will be in Hebrew and English. Sponsors are welcome

Rav Chagai's Tanach Shiur

Rav Chagai Tanach Shiur, given in English, resumes on Sunday with Sefer Yirmiyahu.

The Shiur will be in the shul at 8:30 p.m. on the following Sundays:

18/5 – A special shiur about Megillat Rut and Shavuot

Rav Chagai's Iyun Gemorah shiur continues on Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m. The shiur is studying the Perek of Eilu Metziyut in Baba Metziah.

Nach Yomi for Women

The Nach Yomi Women's Chabura meets every morning at 9:30 am as well as 6:00 p.m. on Shabbat in the women's Beit Midrash.

We welcome new members (occasionally or daily)!

The daily Nach Chabura follows the schedule of the OU.

Please bring a tanach. All levels are welcome!

Bet Midrash for Women

Our shul has a Bet Midrash for women, which is located in the large classroom upstairs, and was dedicated in memory of Yosef Malachi ben David Guedalia HY”D . We welcome women to make use of it at all times. Please be respectful of the fact that this space has been dedicated as a place for women to learn.

Beit Shemesh Morning Beit Medrash

Beit Shemesh morning Beit Medrash program is open Sunday-Thursday beginning at 9am. Learn whatever you want or join the Tzurba program learning hilchot Shabbat. Come for the learning and stay for the coffee!

Mi Sheberach for the wounded security forces

During chazarat ha'shatz, we will be giving out to each of the men and women in shul 3-4 names of wounded IDF soldiers and security forces. When the gabbai says the Mi Sheberach L'Cholim between Hagbah and the HafTorah everyone will say the names of the wounded on his list, and so – as a community – we will Daven together for all the wounded.

חידון פרשת השבוע

השבוע אנו ממשיכים ביוזמת חידון פרשת השבוע החדשה שלנו. קיבלנו משוב נהדר, אז אנא עודדו את ילדיכם להשתתף ולהעביר את דפי התשובות המלאים שלהם לדן לפל או לדליה גרוס כדי לקבל פרס!

תוכנית הנוער

תזכורת שכל ילדי גן חובה עד כיתה ב’ מוזמנים לתפילת הילדים המיוחדת שלנו. אם ילדכם אינו בטווח גילאים זה, אנא אל תשלחו אותו, שכן הדבר עלול להפריע לתוכנית

בשבת בבוקר תתקיים תפילת ילדים בשעה 10:00-10:20 במרפסת של בית הכנסת לגן חובה – כיתה ב.

פתחנו קבוצת וואטסאפ שקטה בשביל הודעות על אירועים לילדים ונוער בקהילה. ילדים, בני נוער והורים מוזמנים

להצטרף לקבוצה

חבורת פרקי אבות
על מנת לחזק את המנהג היקר של אמירת פרקי אבות אחרי מנחה בשבתות בין פסח לראש השנה, כולם מוזמנים להצטרף ל”חבורת פרקי אבות”. מדי שבת אחרי מנחה של 17.30, אנו קוראים את פרק השבוע ביחד + דבר תורה קצר על אחת המשניות. בסה”כ כ-10 דקות.

יום ירושלים

תכנית יום ירושלים יום ראשון כ”ח אייר: ששת הימים בהקשר היסטורי עם הרב אשר חבר. האירוע יתקיים בערב יום ירושלים מיד לאחר תפילה חגיגית, 20:40 באולם סלסני. התכנית תהיה בעברי ובאנגלית.

בחירות לוועד יתקיימו במהלך הקיץ, אנא צרו קשר עם אליסה אפטעל אם אתם מעוניינים להיות חברים בוועד.

שיעור לנשים – השכול בתנ”ך

חבורת נ”ך היומי לנשים חוגגת את סיום נביאים אחרונים. אנחנו מזמינות משתתפות חדשות להצטרף ללימוד היומי (גם אם לא תצליחי להגיע כל יום זה בסדר!) כשאנחנו מתחילות ללמוד ספר כתובים במוצאי שבת

בית מדרש לנשים

בבית הכנסת שלנו יש בית מדרש לנשים שנמצא בכיתה הגדולה בקומה העליונה, והוא הוקדש לזכרו של יוסף מלאכי בן דוד גדליה הי”ד. אנו מזמינים נשים ללמוד שמה בכל עת. אנא כבדו את העובדה שהמרחב הזה מוקדש כמקום למידה לנשים.

מי שברך לכוחות הביטחון הפצועים

במהלך חזרת הש”ץ, נחלק לכל אחד מהגברים והנשים בבית הכנסת 3-4 שמות של פצועי צה”ל וכוחות הבטחון. כשהגבאי אומר את מי שברך לחולים, בין הגבה להפטרה, כולם יאמרו את השמות של הפצועים ברשימתו, וכך – כקהילה – נתפלל יחד עבור כל הפצועים.

תכנית בית המדרש של בית שמש מתחילה ביום ראשון, בבית מדרש תורני לאומי. ימים ראשון עד חמישי, או חלק מהימים, מתי שאתה יכול, 9 בבוקר. למד מה שאתה רוצה, נדאג לך לחברותא אם תרצה, או הצטרף לתוכנית “צורבא” ללימוד הלכות שבת. בואו ללמוד ולהישאר לקפה!
